In January, we completed the prototype for a software architecture diagrams sharing platform. The platform, available at https://community.tecture.io, will serve as an experiment that could be used as an acquisition channel for Tecture in the future. This prototype is separate from Tecture's overall goal and serves as a quick experiment done during the holiday period that could potentially be used as an acquisition channel later on.
Reflection on customer research and insights revealed the need for a better way to structure the insights and narrow down market segmentation. To achieve this, Tecture decided to use the Jobs to be done framework to define the jobs software engineering teams are trying to accomplish through diagramming. A survey will also be conducted to gain a better understanding of the market and its needs, helping Tecture identify specific, underserved market segments.
The following initiatives were taken in January:
We did not conduct any customer interviews in January, as the plan is to start the interviews to further clarify survey results. Currently spending 100% of the time on the survey.
The focus for Tecture in January was on improving the understanding of the market and defining the target segment. We are looking forward to conducting the survey and getting feedback from the software engineering community.
